Inspira Health today announced the promotion of Julie H. Ellis, MBA, SHRM-SCP, to the role of Senior Vice President Chief Human Resources Officer, effective December 1, 2024. Ellis will be succeeding Anneliese McMenamin, who is retiring after serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the past three years.

Yesterday, Inspira Health celebrated the groundbreaking of its Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill expansion, which when complete, will add 168,000-square-feet to the campus. This expansion project includes a new 150,000 square foot 5-story wing that will extend out toward Rt. 55, an overbuild to the right of the hospital’s main entrance, the renovation of various clinical and non-clinical spaces on the first floor, and expanded parking capacity.

At its most recent meeting, the Inspira Health Board of Trustees approved the appointment of two new members: Melissa Ritter Hermanson, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CASC and Michael Shevlin. As the governing body of the health system, the Board is responsible for overseeing and providing guidance for operations and planning.

Inspira Health announced that the integration Salem Medical Center, an affiliate of Inspira Health, into the health system is complete, as of October 1. The hospital has been rebranded as Inspira Medical Center (IMC) Mannington, effective immediately. The City of Woodbury and Inspira Health are pleased to announce plans for the Woodbury Health and Education Innovation District. To be headquartered on the former Woodbury hospital campus, the Innovation District will seek to add elements such as market-rate housing, a Center for Innovation in Community Health, with attached hotel conference center and restaurant, convenience retail offerings, and senior housing to complement the health care services currently provided and planned on the campus.

Inspira Health Network’s Board of Trustees today announced board member Elizabeth A. Ryan, Esq., former President and CEO of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) and the first woman to helm the association, will serve as the new Board Chair, effective today. In addition, existing Trustees will assume other leadership positions, with Dawn Flitcraft serving as Vice Chair, Bob Hickock as Secretary and Toni Pergolin as Treasurer. Karen Albanese, David Krishna and Donna Perez were also newly appointed to the Board of Trustees.

Inspira Health today announced it has added Salem Medical Center to its organization and acquired its hospital building, ambulatory surgery center and physician offices, effective immediately. The transaction enables Salem Medical Center – which will now be referred to as Salem Medical Center, an affiliate of Inspira Health – to join the network by way of a membership substitution, the most common method of combining nonprofits in the health care industry.

At the December 6 meeting of the Inspira Health Board of Trustees, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, new officers were approved to lead the Inspira Hospital Board of Trustees for the 2022 term. As the governing body of the hospitals, this board provides governance oversight and guidance of the hospitals’ activities.

Inspira Health today announced the appointment of Lydia Stockman, RN, MHA, FACHE, to Chief Administrative Officer for Inspira Medical Centers Mullica Hill and Woodbury, effective January 10. Stockman will oversee overall operations at those two locations, direct senior management staff and propel Inspira’s work as a High Reliability Organization.

We are pleased to share that Inspira Health and Salem County Hospital Corp. have signed a definitive agreement whereby Salem Medical Center will join the Inspira Health Network. The transaction is expected to be completed following review and approval by the New Jersey Attorney General some time in 2022.
